This is my current project. I'm working on three pairs of these in different colors. Hoping to finish and get them in the mail in time for Christmas.
I should manage. I've only one and a half pairs to go, and I've made so many of these I could almost do them in my sleep.

Also I've realised what the TV series reminds me of. The Canadian govt-supported film company is called Crave, but it could easily be Gay Porn For Girls. Not because the series is actually porn, but because it's made by a team that understands how to film sex scenes.

Reflection
Dec. 7th, 2025 12:25 pmsgatazmyOver the last week, I’ve been reflecting on communication styles and how people often hold back what they really mean to say. I’m so tired of this, especially in regards to parent relationships with other parents. So I tried something new. I just started asking “I can’t tell if you mean this or this” and ask for clarification even when awkward. Like “My son wants a playdate but I can’t tell if your son does or is actually busy. It’s okay either way but it would help me to know which you mean.” or “I enjoy having coffee with you. I can’t tell if you want to just hang out for playdates or if you are up for a deeper friendship. Can you please clarify?”
This has been so freeing! Instead of “guessing” if I am being locked out, I’m inviting gentle honesty. So far people have been honest after that and it has kept me from either pursuing a friendship that isn’t really going to happen or feeling unsure on an interaction that was actually mutually positive.

1. Red Robin trade paperbacks! These have been out of print for awhile and I constantly scour the graphic novels section of used book shops to no avail. I'm looking for Red Robin vol 2: Collision and Red Robin vol 4: 7 Days of Death. They look like this.
2. Ideas for family blind gift swap. Something with mass appeal for approximately $20.
3. Fun, delicious cocktail recipes that use rum or vodka.
4. I'm in a classic literature reading phase. Recommend me your favorite classic book.
5. Music recommendations. Preferably artist or album level. I'm dropping streaming and reverting to old school CDs and hoopla. I mostly like alternative/pop/rock but I'll try whatever!

Writing update.
Dec. 5th, 2025 10:40 ammelaganI generally manage about one 2k to 3k fics a month. Oct was a dry spell for writing, although I did manage to finish one fic. I also got a lot of art done that will show up when it's time for Romancing McShep.
I am feeling pretty chuffed because (with a little help fromem_kellesvig) I finished my SGA Secret Santa story early. Now I'm off to finish up a Secret Santa pinch hit. That story is 99% finished. Still not happy with the ending, but that's not unusual for me.
So, since Oct I've worked on a bunch of artwork, managed to write 3 SGA stories, and worked on two I can't reveal yet.

Turns out I can be quite good at ignoring the dirty dishes.
I am feeling pretty chuffed because (with a little help from
em_kellesvig) I finished my SGA Secret Santa story early. Now I'm off to finish up a Secret Santa pinch hit. That story is 99% finished. Still not happy with the ending, but that's not unusual for me.So, since Oct I've worked on a bunch of artwork, managed to write 3 SGA stories, and worked on two I can't reveal yet.
