About Me - Snowflake Challenge #1

My name is Wade, I'm LogicGunn on AO3 and Tumblr and a few other places. 33, She/Her.

I've lurked for a while in various fandoms all over the place (I started reading HP fanfiction in my early teens), but officially joined the SGA fandom last year when I started posting fics. 2019 was a bit of a difficult year for me personally, and I found I had a lot of empty time on my hands so I started writing more seriously than I had before and it's kind of exploded into something bigger than I expected which is totally awesome.

I'm here for the McShep but I respect your ships no matter what they are. At the moment I'm working my way chronologically through AO3's McShep fics (I'm on page 69 of 602 and growing) and I'm not skipping anything no matter the tags so that's a hell of a ride.

I live in Scotland with my wife and I'm a nursing assistant on a surgical ward. I have a BSc (Hons) in Biology and Math. Love coffee and eyeliner, piercings and tattoos and video games, and my first drafts always have too many commas in them.

I've never posted on DW before so this challenge is exciting.

Welcome to the Snowflake Challenge, and to DW! Your approach to wading through the McShep fics is AMAZING -- go, you! I was active in SGA when it was REALLY active, and I didn't manage to read everything!

There are SO many fics, and those are just the ones on AO3. I might never catch up...I kinda wish I was active in the SGA fandom when it was big, but I also kinda like the mellow pace it tumbles along at now.

I may have to get back into the McShep and SGA -- I have a few drafts of unfinished fic that I'm actually kind of percolating at the moment, so I hope to get some writing mojo and finish them this year. (the one that's closest to done is a John and Teyla gen fic, where Teyla ends up in an alternate universe due to a Gate malfunction, and John has been the only one left in Atlantis for several years by the point Teyla arrives. I know how it ends! I just have to write it!!)

Getting started is the hard part. Sometimes I just sit down in front of an empty page and write something, anything, to get my mojo flowing.

Your fic sounds fantastic. I'd love to read it when it's done.
